“Why Is My Body in Pain?” – It Might Not Be Where You Think

Many people live with body pain every day.
A stiff neck.
A tight lower back.
A shoulder that just won’t relax.
We often assume the pain is caused by something physical in that exact spot, an injury, bad posture, or simply “getting older.”
But what if the pain you feel is not actually coming from where it hurts?
How Body Pain Really Begins
Your body is a beautifully connected system of muscles, nerves, and energy pathways.
When everything is in balance, your muscles support each other effortlessly. But when that balance is disrupted, things start to shift.
In kinesiology, we often see two key imbalances:
Muscles with too little energy (underactive)
Muscles with too much energy (overactive)
When a muscle has too little energy, it becomes weak and cannot do its job properly. So the body compensates.
Other muscles step in to help… and they begin to overwork.
Over time, those overworking muscles develop too much energy, becoming tight, strained, and eventually painful.
The Hidden Chain Reaction
This creates a ripple effect throughout the body:
A weak core can lead to lower back pain
Tight shoulders can come from imbalance in the chest or upper back
Neck tension can be linked to stress or even emotional overload
The body is constantly trying to adapt and protect you — but these compensations often lead to discomfort and chronic pain.
So Where Does Kinesiology Come In?
Kinesiology looks beyond the site of pain.
Through gentle muscle testing, we identify:
Which muscles are underactive
Which are overactive
Where the imbalance truly begins
Rather than chasing symptoms, we work with the body to restore balance.
This may involve:
Stimulating specific reflex, neorolymphatic or neorovascular points
Releasing stored stress or emotional tension through body's energy lines (meridians)
When balance is restored, the body no longer needs to compensate — and pain often begins to ease naturally.
Your Body Is Not Working Against You
Pain is not your body failing. It is your body communicating.
And when you listen to it in the right way, you can begin to restore harmony from within.
If you’ve been living with discomfort or unexplained pain, I’d love to help you explore what your body is really trying to tell you.
